PTA Committee

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization, working for the progress of the college. All the parent/guardian shall be a member of the association and when a student leaves the college his guardian also ceases as a member. The principal and all members of the teaching staff of the college shall be the member of the Association.

Purpose of Committee

Valuate the academic and non-academic performance of children and evaluate the college activities

Functions

  • Update periodically on the academic and non-academic performance of students.
  • Address the concerns of the parents with regards to students.
  • Foster a healthy teacher-student-parent relationship

Membership

  • Parents or Guardians of the students on the rolls of the college shall be members of the Association
  • The Principal and Members of teaching faculty of the college shall be Ex-Officio Members of the Association
  • A parent or Guardian shall cease to be a member of the general body when his child or ceases to attend this Nursing college as a student

Objectives

  • To work for the welfare of the students
  • To work for the welfare of the Institution
  • To offer constructive suggestions for the smooth and successful functioning of the college
  • To Promote better participation of the parents in various programmes of the college
  • Strengthen and enrich the relationship between teachers, students and parents
  • Ensure high academic standards
  • Maintain discipline among students
  • Enhance coordination, smooth functioning and improvement in the activities of PTA
  • Encourage co-curricular activities among students

Terms of PTA meeting

  • One annual general body meeting per year
  • Executive committee meeting twice per year
  • Respective class PTA meetings after each sessional exams
